13 Amazing Halloween Crochet Projects Made by My Customers

One of my absolute favorite parts of designing crochet patterns is seeing what happens after the pattern leaves my hands. 🖤🧶

A crochet graph may begin as squares, colors, and written instructions on a screen, but then one of you chooses the yarn, picks up a hook, spends hours crocheting row after row… and suddenly the design becomes a real blanket, bag, or piece of handmade art.

Today I want to share 13 finished Halloween crochet projects made by my customers using Pretty Things By Katja patterns.

And these are definitely not all cute pumpkins and friendly ghosts.

We have magical cats, skulls, skeletons, witches, devils, tarot-inspired crochet, creepy humor, and plenty of gothic style.

If you love Halloween crochet patterns, spooky graphghans, gothic crochet blankets, or unusual crochet projects, I think you’re going to love this collection.

Let’s take a look. 🎃

1. Witch’s Cat Crochet Blanket

We’re starting with one of my favorite black-and-white designs.

This finished Witch’s Cat crochet blanket looks incredibly dramatic in just two colors.

The large cat face, crescent moon marking, stars, and intense eyes create a design that feels magical, gothic, and slightly mysterious without being traditionally scary.

The customer’s black background makes the white details really stand out.

This is such a good example of how a limited-color Single Crochet graphghan can still create an incredibly detailed finished image.

Perfect for:

  • witchy décor
  • gothic bedrooms
  • cat lovers
  • Halloween decorating
  • magical and celestial interiors

2. Halloween Black Cat Crochet Bag

Not every graph has to become a blanket!

This customer turned the adorable black cat design into a crochet shoulder bag, and I absolutely love how it turned out.

The purple background, crescent moon, little clouds, skull, stars, and wide-eyed black cat create such a fun Halloween combination.

It’s cute rather than creepy, making this a lovely project for anyone who prefers the whimsical side of Halloween.

And it’s a perfect reminder that crochet graphs can sometimes be adapted into much more than blankets.

3. Cat With Wings Crochet Blanket

Here is another cat design — but with a much darker personality.

This striking black-and-white crochet blanket features a winged black cat sitting above another cat silhouette.

Because the customer chose such a simple monochrome palette, the silhouettes become the whole focus of the blanket.

I love how bold this one looks.

It would fit beautifully into Halloween décor, but it could just as easily stay out all year in a gothic or alternative home.

4. Devil C2C Crochet Blanket

Now we’re moving firmly into the creepy section. 😈

This customer made the Devil design using Corner-to-Corner crochet, creating a large red blanket with a dramatic black-and-white horned face in the center.

C2C gives graph designs a completely different texture from Single Crochet, and this finished blanket shows that beautifully.

The red background makes the monochrome portrait stand out even more.

It’s bold, dark, and impossible to ignore.

5. Devil Single Crochet Graphghan

And here is another version of the Devil design, this time crocheted using Single Crochet.

I love having these two finished projects side by side because they show exactly how different crochet techniques can change the appearance of the same kind of graphic artwork.

This version uses strong red, black, and white blocks with a detailed horned face as the focal point.

If you enjoy dark, horror-inspired, or alternative crochet, this is definitely a statement blanket.

6. Middle Finger Skeleton Hand Crochet Blanket

Crochet doesn’t always have to be polite. 😂

This customer made one of my cheekier designs: a large skeleton hand giving the middle finger against a black background.

The simple black-and-white palette works perfectly because the hand itself becomes incredibly clear and graphic.

It’s funny, gothic, slightly rude, and absolutely memorable.

Exactly what crochet should occasionally be.

This type of pattern also makes a brilliant gift for someone with a slightly darker sense of humor.

7. “F-Caw-F” Crow Crochet Blanket

I still love this one. 😂

This finished crow crochet blanket combines a grumpy-looking bird, a branch, and a wonderfully silly visual joke.

The gray, black, orange, and pale-blue color palette gives it a slightly spooky autumn feeling without making it strictly Halloween.

It would work just as well for:

  • crow and raven lovers
  • gothic décor
  • funny handmade gifts
  • Halloween decorating
  • bird lovers with a sense of humor

And the customer did such a lovely job keeping all those little feather details visible.

8. We’re All Mad Here Crochet Blanket

This bright pink finished blanket is impossible to miss.

The huge mischievous grin paired with the words “We’re All Mad Here” gives the design a whimsical, slightly strange storybook feeling.

And that hot pink background!

I love when customers choose colors that make a pattern completely their own.

Even if two people crochet from exactly the same graph, different yarn colors can create a totally different finished blanket.

That is one of the things I love most about graphghan crochet.

9. Middle Finger Skull C2C Blanket

Here’s another wonderfully rebellious project.

This finished Middle Finger Skull crochet blanket combines a skull with a skeletal hand gesture using a dramatic red-and-black palette.

The customer worked it in C2C, giving the blanket that beautiful textured, block-style appearance.

And this is actually one pattern I will be returning to in another blog post because I have several customer-finished versions of this design.

It deserves its own showcase. 🖤

For now, here’s one fantastic example.

10. Skeleton Bride Crochet Blanket

This one has such a beautiful gothic-romantic feeling.

The finished design features a skeletal bride holding flowers, surrounded by dark hair, roses, and striking purple details.

The black, white, and purple color combination works wonderfully here.

It feels spooky, romantic, gothic, and elegant all at once.

This would be such a fun project for:

  • gothic wedding décor
  • Halloween
  • skeleton lovers
  • dark romance fans
  • alternative interiors

11. Skull C2C Crochet Blanket

Look at the scale of this one! 😍

This customer created a huge skull C2C crochet blanket with a pale blue skull surrounded by deep red roses, greenery, and a dark background.

It’s an impressive example of what can happen when you take a detailed crochet graph and work it on a large scale.

The finished blanket feels almost like textile artwork.

And I particularly love that you can see the blanket actually being used in a home rather than staged as a mockup.

That makes the size and impact much easier to appreciate.

12. The Lovers Tarot Card Crochet Blanket

This is one of the patterns I receive a lot of finished-project photos for.

And I can understand why.

This customer crocheted The Lovers Tarot Card in an elegant two-color palette, creating a large vertical blanket that almost looks like a textile wall hanging.

The skull imagery, roses, hands, and tarot-card layout give this design a completely different feeling from a traditional rectangular graphghan.

It works beautifully as a blanket, but I could also imagine a finished piece like this displayed on a wall.

I have enough customer versions of the Tarot Card patterns that I’ll be creating a separate Tarot Crochet Customer Showcase later.

So consider this a little preview. 🖤

13. Witch Crochet Blanket

And we’re finishing with something appropriately witchy. 🧙‍♀️

This finished crochet blanket features the phrase:

“We Are the Daughters of the Witches You Could Not Burn”

along with crescent moons and a cauldron.

The customer chose a dark background with warm cream and golden yarn, which creates a wonderfully autumnal, witchy look.

It feels perfectly at home among candles, pumpkins, books, and all the other cozy things that appear when spooky season arrives.

Why I Love Seeing Your Finished Crochet Projects

When I design a graph, I know what the image is supposed to look like.

But seeing it transformed into an actual handmade object is completely different.

You choose different yarn brands.

Different colors.

Different borders.

Sometimes you turn a blanket graph into a pillow or bag.

Sometimes you make the design much bigger or smaller than I imagined.

And every finished project has a little bit of the person who crocheted it inside.

That’s why customer photos mean so much to me.

They also help other crocheters see what a pattern can look like in real life, rather than only seeing a digital or symbolic preview.

SC Graphghan or C2C Crochet?

You may have noticed that the projects in this showcase use more than one crochet technique.

Many Pretty Things By Katja patterns are available as Single Crochet graphghans, Corner-to-Corner crochet patterns, or both.

Single Crochet Graphghan

In an SC graphghan, each square on the graph corresponds to one single crochet stitch.

The image is created horizontally, row by row.

This technique works especially well when you want lots of detail.

Corner-to-Corner Crochet

C2C crochet builds the image diagonally using small crochet blocks.

It produces a wonderful textured appearance and can make an impressive large blanket.

Neither one is necessarily “better.”

They simply create different finished results.

And as these customer photos show, both can look fantastic.

Your Yarn Colors Can Completely Change a Pattern

One thing I hope this collection shows is that you do not have to copy the exact colors shown in a pattern preview.

Look at the variety here.

Pink.

Purple.

Red.

Black and white.

Blue.

Cream.

Orange.

Two crocheters can use exactly the same graph and create finished blankets that feel completely different simply by changing the yarn palette.

That’s part of the fun.

Use the colors that fit your home, your recipient, or your personality.

More Customer Crochet Showcases Are Coming

I have been incredibly lucky to receive so many finished-project photos from customers over the years that there are far too many to fit into one blog post.

So this is just the beginning.

I already have enough finished projects planned for separate showcases including:

Tarot Card Crochet Blankets

and

Middle Finger Skull Crochet Blankets

I’ll also be putting together more themed collections as I go through the customer gallery.

That means there is a lot more real-life crochet inspiration coming to the blog. 🧶
