I have found another incredible Etsy shop. 🙂 CrownCountryCrochet has the most fantastic doll patterns I have ever seen. I know you have heard this from me before, but when you see the photos from CrownCountryCrochet Etsy shop, you will know what I mean.

I have fallen in love with CrownCountryCrochet dolls. There are so many of them; you can find 55 different doll patterns, one more astonishing than the other. But not only that, you can find crochet clothes, animals, and even doll outfit patterns. You can also find some of the CrownCountryCrochet patterns written in English and French. I wish I could post all of the photos here, but I can not, so you must check out the store.

1. How did it all begin? Tell us your story.

I was a knitter first. I absolutely loved knitting and the whole process of creating items stitch by stitch. I would see these beautiful crochet doll pictures online and I have always loved dolls since I was a little girl so I knew I had to learn to do that! My husband came up with the idea for me to try to create my own doll patterns. He was my encouragement and supporter when I wasn’t sure that I could actually do it myself. 2. What inspires you?

My husband is always inspiring me to do new things and push the boundaries of what I’m comfortable doing. He inspires me to tackle more challenging designs. I’m also inspired by the many beautiful and exquisitely detailed crocheted dolls I have seen created by so many designers all over the world. I really wanted to make a doll that even a beginner could tackle but that still had really detailed elements to it. I absolutely love creating crochet doll patterns. My excitement for each project I do inspires me on a daily basis.

3. How does your everyday look like?

I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and 10 chickens (so far) whom I love dearly, so my day starts out with tending to the animals. I am also a farmer. During the Spring and Summer I spend a few hours every day tending the garden and I spend a lot of time canning in the summer and fall. My time is often split between the farm and crocheting. I crochet almost every day and I spend most of that time working on new patterns. In the winter I get to spend a lot more time crocheting!CrownCountryCrochet patterns

4. What is your favorite yarn?

I live in a small town, so access to local yarn stores is quite a distance away. For this reason, I have purchased most of my yarn online. I use Knit Picks yarn the most but here lately I’ve been experimenting with different yarns so I might be switching things up a little more in the future.CrownCountryCrochet patterns

5. Do you have any advice for other sellers?

When I first started out I was trying to make crochet doll patterns specifically for young children because I thought they would sell better than the detailed, collector style doll that I was interested in. I eventually did decide to try to create the doll that I would want to have. Not only have I had more success with these dolls, but my enthusiasm for creating them has not waned because I have such a passion for them myself. So I would encourage other sellers to create the things that they love and have passion for themselves because that is most likely where they will find their own niche! CrownCountryCrochet patterns

I am so amazed by the patterns I find on Etsy; I love how each of the creators is so different. You can feel their passion, and I am sure that is why they are so successful.

Stevie Hill is so inspiring. I love how she created the dolls she wished existed. Her dolls are so detailed; you can really see how much thought she puts into every design. Each of them is unique and special – they are bursting with creative energy, so you get inspired just by looking at pictures, and you want to make them too. I can see why CrownCountryCrochet is a best seller.

Thank you for reading. Please, share with me in the comments which of the CrownCountryCrochet you like best. I can not decide whether I will make Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe first

Have a beautiful day, and enjoy crocheting.
